Board Certified, Fellowship Trained Orthopedic Spine Surgeon
Dr. Robert Blok, Jr. is a board certified, fellowship trained orthopedic spine surgeon. He received his BA in history from Norwich University, his doctorate from West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine and completed his residency at Summa Health Systems with affiliate training at the Cleveland Clinic and University Health Systems.
In 2005 he completed a combined orthopedic and neurosurgical spine fellowship in Louisville, Kentucky. In 2011, Dr. Blok continued his advancement in minimally invasive spine surgery completing training in Germany and the Netherlands. He is a published author and speaker on minimally invasive spinal surgery and held position as the Chief Surgeon for three consecutive years, with a nationally recognized minimally invasive spine institute.
In 2019, Dr. Blok received the award of fellow from the American Osteopathic Academy of Orthopedics (AOAO) and he currently serves as a voting member on the AOAO Government Affairs Committee.
